I am a fiber artist who designs little luxuries in the spaces between being a Mom, rehabbing a cabin in Northern Minnesota with my husband & maintaining a beautiful but needy 1920’s bungalow in the city.
I consider myself something of a blue jeans & white t-shirt connoiseur. For some people, food is the trusty "go-to" for comfort. But me? there's nothing like a perfectly worn pair of red-tag Levi’s & thick cotton t-shirt to get through any day.
I own two little black dresses; one for family & one for my husband -- both flatter my figure before and after dinner.
But practicallity looks much better with a side of something rich and indulgent. Dark chocolate is nice but I'd rather wrap myself in cashmere---and make it Tiffany blue!
My quest as a fiber artist is to create luxury pieces that transform blue jeans into statement wear -- and to allow spaghetti straps under nothing but light layers of silky kid mohair out on New Year’s Eve in Minnesota with reckless abandon.
I work almost exclusively with natural animal and plant fibers. Each piece is designed and hand knit, as a one of a kind original. Larger garments average 100 hours from start to finish and all items are priced to reflect the quality in materials and craftsmanship.
